Who I am:
Philosophy of care:
I am a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. I specialize in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and Autism in children and adults. I have additional experience treating individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, medical causes of psychiatric illness, and co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. I regularly treat student-athletes, and gifted students and have helped many people transition through many stages and positions in life. I also have experience helping people in the LGBTQ+ community.
I believe in the importance of trust in a therapeutic relationship. My goal is to ensure that people feel heard and understood, whether discussing routine treatments, medication side effects, or more sensitive topics. I am very collaborative in my work and will gladly speak to other providers.
Although I only accept payment at the time of service, I will provide a receipt and any other documentation so that you may request reimbursement as an "out-of-network" provider from your insurance company.
Training:
I earned my medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. I completed a residency in psychiatry at Temple University Hospital and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UNC-Chapel Hill. I worked as an attending physician at UNC-Chapel Hill before returning to Pennsylvania to accept a position at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHoP). At CHoP, I worked with the First-Episode Psychosis Programs, Autism Integrated Care Clinic, Anxiety Disorders Clinic, and General Pediatric Psychiatry Clinic.
Expertise:
I have research experience in Schizophrenia and in Autism and have been involved in the training and supervision of medical students and residents. I am available to give talks to professional organizations and community groups on a wide range of topics including first episode psychosis and autism spectrum disorders.
